Well basically, the Cynos isnt as healthy as could be, first off the steering veers off to the left all the time, sometimes quite sharpish, and the car is very unsettled by mid-corner bumps, im thinking worn lower arm bushes but whats everyone elses thoughts on it? I know it isnt tyre pressures cause i changed them twice. also driving at low speeds and turning left, it is scary how much i have to turn the steering wheel to the left to get the tiniest movement of the car to the left...half a turn from dead center and it barely turns left

secondly, the oil warning light was coming on quite a lot...first it used to do it whenever i braked, but then it seemed to do it whenever the clutch was dipped, or left in neutral or when coasting or sometimes, it just does it sporadically....and some said it could be that there's no oil, and when i checked it had appeared to run bone dry...on fully synth in the span of a month!

anyway, that problem has kind of been resolved, i filled the engine with semi-synth 10w40, kinda overfilled, but i noticed now that whenever im on full throttle, quite a lot of smoke comes out of the exhaust, but below full throttle its normal. i dont notice any strange noises or vibrations, and there arent any anomalies throughout the rev range...someone said it could be the big end shells...any other word on this and where i could get it fixed quick? i would attempt it on my own but im not bothered, and dont want to waste time

oh, and my front brakes are shot, but i know its pads...but the pedal is very (well, more so than usual) mushy

well so far my friend's dad (owns Bexley Motor Works in kent) said i need to get a compression and cylinder leakage test done, if it gets below 80psi and 50% respectively, im ****** pretty much. and he's also said the only way to really find out what's wrong is to strip it down...

any other thoughts?
