Hi Surf Head Gasket

hi my hi surf overheated and now when starting white smoke bellows out.this clears immediately.it is now using apint of water aday.the temp gauge stays central.the oil is not milky yet i have the impression the head gasket has gone,the performance is fine,any comments welcome and how much would i expect to pay for the head gasket to be replaced ,cheers markmaro

the 2.4 is known to suffer a cracked head, it may turn out the head gasket isnt the issue unfortunately - but it maybe .

no idea of cost - depends where you take it i suppose.Some have been quoted 460 quid
