Smoking Gt4

hi hope someone can help me here i have a 1991 gt4 which at idle smokes i suspect its oil as it smell like burning oil on accelleration and over run there is no smoke the car has a k&n panel filter and stainless exhaust any ideas a so called toyota specialist said it is a pourus piston though all the compressions are ok??????

could be valve stem oil seals.

sounds like the valve stem oil seals, if your wanting to rule out a dodgie piston take it to a differant garage and get a leak down test done

most likely is turbo oil seals. if it only does it when idling when hot then thats where my money would be.

Looks like you were right spoke to ian and he said the same but has asked me to check a few things very helpfull and knowledgeable bloke gonna check every thing he said at the weekend Cheers
