does n e 1 no if an old n shape starlet(mk3 i think) will take an engine from a newer shape starlet.

mine is the 1.3 kudos with the injection and stuff but i need an engine does the engine from the next shape up fit straight in with no modifications e.g wiring loom???? opr does any1 have ang that will fit, not turbo or owt coz i wont get insured just a standard 1.3 injection engine like the xli i sumthing??? cheers

what year is your starlet?

do you know the engine code for the engine? 4efe for example?

its a 96i think but nt the newer shape 96. dnt av a clue on the engine code m8

you prob have the 1.3 12valve engine.

if its the old 12v engine the new shape starlet engine (4efe) will probably have different wiring.

as the 4efe has a internal coil in the distributor, so most likely that the older 12v doesnt have that.

i did an eBay search for an engine dealer and came up with some company where you sent a message to loads of breakers at once. I got a paseo engine within a week using that method.

Cnt remember the company but you'll know you've found it when you have.

To give an idea, paseo engine with 30000 miles and warranty and docs was £400 delivered
