hi there, glad to have found a forum like this.

had my roadster since february and just been out for a blast in the lancashire summer evening. just a quick one. when i bought my car, a big selling point was that the alloys had been replaced. many of the ones i looked at prior to purchase had corrosion starting to show through.

are there any solutions to this, i been polishin and cleanin em religiously, but one is starting to get a little pitted now. the previous set were replaced under warranty i was told.

where do we stand on having them replaced? do we have to pay? are they under the corrosion warranty.

its now 5 years old, but i believe the anti corrosion warranty is 10 years, are the wheels covered under this?

my apologies if this has been discussed in detail, but im new.

(love the car though !)

Welcome to the club Enid

As far as your alloys go they are only covered under the 3 year manufacturers warranty, unless they were replaced (under warranty) before the end of that period. Then they would carry the normal parts warranty.

Even taking out the Toyota extended warranty won't cover them unfortunately. Sadly they just don't seem to have got the quality quite right with these, I have had 3 sets so far on my "52" plate and the last set started bubbling after 4 months. :(

Mine will hopefully be getting replaced when i take it for its 1st service.. all 4 wheels now have a few bubbles.. I am also thinking of getting myself a set of new rims quite soon (JAE hopefully.. if not before)
