Annoying Celica, Van Drivers And A Extrodanary Day.

Im driving nice and slowly back home as im on my way to a funeral some ***** in a van pulls out on me i break hard, all of a sudden i have a abs warning light on my screen i think nothing of it and just want to make it home, then a 4ws light comes on i think bugger this is going to be expense. But still determined i get back go to the funeral it was nice lots of people turned up. then after decided to give my car the old once over, jack the front of the car up my wheel moves about 20cm in every direction, i remove the alloy wheel bolt cover thing, and guess what falls out not a bit of wheel bearing or anything NNOOOO. the fringing hub nut still attached to the threaded bit of my cv, it had snapped clean in half. UNEXPECTED. YEP!

Being a import took ages to find someone who has the part got it the same day then fitted it. The car is now better than before much smoother, it looked like the cv had been half broken for a while and the hard braking finished it off. so i should be grateful for the £70 part breaking i guess.

Anyways now when i press the brake pedal and low speed something resists against me and makes a kinda grindy noise, kinda like the abs is kicking in too soon, any thoughts, Also my brother has built him self a classic mini but with 130bhp at the wheels and it kills my car in a race any thoughts on cheap mods, im a student so cheap is good. I have a Celica GTR import 4ws. He is mini kept up with my sisters boyfriends 5.0 mustang through the first 2 and a half gears,

Thanks for reading sorry it was so long, just a extrondanary day.

This car kepts costing me a fortune, new clutch, lights, cv, ball joint.

It`s not an uncommon occurence on the Gen5. The problem is caused i believe by the hub nut being over tightened. (Someone will correct me if i`m wrong  )

Have you checked the calipers for bits of shrapnel stuck in them. It`s entirely possible something may have lodged in there while the hub was being fixed.
