Hi,

Does anyone know what Error 35 stands for? All I have done is replace brakepads. Ran the quick diagnostics but error code 35 wasn't listed. I dont want to really have to take All the wheels off and anything else to check it all.

Thanks

You`ll be lucky. Best bet is to get a thin piece of card soaked in meths and fold it until it`s thick enough to just slide it between the sensor and the ABS ring. Work it back and forth a few times. Hopefully this`ll clean the sensor enough. Not sure if you could use something like fine emery but doubt it.

PS it worked on mine... Luckily.

35 — Open in left front or right rear wheel speed sensor (WSS) circuit.

slam on the brakes , the wheel that locks up is the where the fault lies. dont try to remove the sensor , you have to drill em out to replace them , so pulling wont do a thing

diagnostics for the abs is different to ecu testing codes.

Are you sure you didn't knock a wire or anything whilst doing the pads, I Can't see you doing anything to the sensor so I would guess wiring first of all

Had some work done around the right rear a while ago, I am guessing they had to remove the sensor to get the hub off. But it was working when I got it back.

Managed to get the left front sensor out and clean off the rust magnatised to it but the warning light still came on. Tried to remove the rear sensor then but no go. Does the ECU reset the error code by itself when the problem is resolved or do you have to do it?

Had the Battery disconnected over night and the warning light is not coming on now, but thats not to say it wont again like it did at the MOT!. Also had tried slamming on the brakes when the error was on and it was the front left which locked.

Ok last question would a Toyota yaris use the same ABS Sensor as the one in my Celica? as I might be able to buy one of these should I need to drill out the other one.

Thanks guys

you reset abs fault codes manually - i doubt if a yaris sensor would be the same
