I think you'll be pretty safe with the AutoGlym ones, as long as you don't have particularly fragile paintwork. I want to get one of these too :)

Yeah I use microfibre at the moment - can't use chamois. The ones from tescos in Reading (car care range) are cheap and excellent.

If you're not sure, perhaps lay a chamois/microfibre flat and wrap around the squeegy blade. The reason why I want one is the flat spots on the '2 are a pain in the arris to dry in time, so need something to get the water off quick.

thanks for the replys! btw whats microfibre?

It's an artificial cloth .. absorbs water well. the 21st centurys version of a chamois.

The drying of blades work very well as a "preliminary take off", to be finished off with a micro fibre or chamios....

They shouldn't scratch the paint if they are well looked after, properly stored and KEPT CLEAN (Any grit WILL scratch)

The drying-blade things are really good for getting most of the water off quickly off of flat surfaces. I still stuff a chamois into any shut lines etc to get rid of water that hides until you're buffing the polish off.
