Hello from a newbie. :)

I'm considering buying an Aygo, probably a 3 door Sport model.

Colours I am thinking about are either silver or the Charcoal one. I've not seen any in charcoal so if anyone has it could they please advise if they think it is a good colour, is it just metallic black with a fancy name? If there are any pics of your's available please let me know where to find them.

Are there any real problems with the cars? What are they like for rattles as that drives me nuts.

One of the reasons I am interested is the fantastic fuel consumption figures - can you get near the combined figure quoted?

What are the servicing intervals and how much do services cost at Toyota dealers.

How much of a discount should I get paying cash? List with metallic is ~£8k, could I get on for say £7250?

Thanks, KenL

Click on my 'click here to see my car' bit below to see my carbon 3 door sport

Also - if you haven't already found it, click HERE to read all the Aygo FAQ which includes fuel economy, what to pay etc.

Generally speaking you will get least discount for cash as preferred payment is on finance or failing that a card. If you have to pay cash I would keep quiet about it for as long as possible  they may also ask you to go with them to a bank to have the cash verified which is another hassle of course.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.

The colour looks very nice. I think I'd like to see it in the flesh first but both dealers in my town didn't have one in stock. The dealer I spoke to said they had not sold any in that colour but plenty in the others. Could just be talk but they had at least one in the other 3 colours.

I thought silver looked great, red nice but maybe too bright and the light blue too girly :P

He said they would do a deal but I wouldn't talk numbers as I am not planning to buy for a couple of months. I plan to go round dealers armed with on-line offers from the likes of Drive the Deal to see if they'll match the best price I can find.

Please not another silver car, no offence meant to silver car owners, but not another. :) IMHO carbon grey looks the best, but that's only when the sun is on it, is n't the red cheaper too? Does the sun shine a lot where you live? If I hear hosepipe ban one more time......... :ffs:
