Mk2 Mr2 Spyder?

Little confused, along my travels this week, I've stumbled across a MK2 MR2 Spyder (well has spyder on the rear), it defo has a ragtop, and has 2 lumps on the engine cover like a Porsche GT.

Looks really nice, nice wheels, hugo mungos exhausts.

Anyone know of anything similar??

yeah I've seen this type of mk2 crop up a few times, I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but I believe they were all N/A's and all were in that silver colour, also they are insanely rare!!! lovely looking cars though, I think they were limited edition... hmm not sure :) someone will come with more info perhaps :)

Same price as a turbo, only in NA.

Under 100 made.

No Toyota Badge (as toyota refused to put it's name on a car that leaked).

Made right through the production 1989 -> 1999.

Think there are 4 or 5 made it to the UK.

Note the "spider" Mk2 .. and the mk3 is called the "spyder" ..

Thanks very much. It is in Silver. Just wondered if it had been modded that way.

Unfortunately is in a Police holding yard, as was involved in a pedestrian hit and run, while street racing apparantly. Driver has been caught though.

hmm, I know of two in the UK, both silver.

One has had a trubo conversion .. then other is still NA.

there was one i saw in hong kong that was silver, he had a turbo engine in it though. but seriously seeing one of these things is like seeing a rocking horse $h!T.

2 of the 5 are based in Northampton just down the road from me. Neither are active forum members on any of the sites.

I still think they look ugly...
