How come?

I mean I read through posts and people thinks they are butt ugly.. haha.

I for once think the Hatch is butt ugly.

However, just my opinions. Anyways...

Are there photoshoppers in here? Can anyone chop up the Sedan. I've done a little on it but would like more ideas to come into play on it. I will post mines up once I get participation. Basically, just go for your style that you think looks nice. Thanks.

Pictures are:

Either one, I just didn't show it so to cut down on the load time.

Hehe, I actually didn't understand what you just said in the first part.

Well, I like Toyota cuz of the reliability that's it. Honda is good too.

Yeah they are both not really my thing. I dont hate the new yaris like i used to now i have seen a few in person but i dont like them either. Not very sporty or smart looking imo (i know it's not supposed to look sporty but i think the SR and Tsport of the old model were best looking and this has no comparison) The only bits i like on the new yaris sedan is where it looks slightly like a DC5 integra, apart from that its pretty darn ugly! Reminds me of a shark looking at that front end for some reason! :P

That sedan doesnt look too bad in the photo's, but I doubt I'd have one :!Removed!:

Reminds me of the old shape Ford Focus that was a similar shape...looks like an old people's car to me.

Awesome...

Well, here is what I've done so far.

You can probably tell the kind of idea i want on it and possibly even the type of person I am. Let me know what you guys think.

A Yaris was designed as a small hatchback & has done extremely well as 1, a Toyota Saloon with a Yaris Badge stuck on will never be a Yaris as far as I'm concerned, if I was Mr T & was thinking about making a Yaris saloon I'd give it a new name & market it as a different car.

Plus that size car with that sized engine is going to get owned by a hell of a lot of cars! :P In that pic you have done, it looks even more like a DC5 Integra Type R so prob better off to just buy one of them rather then spending your money on a Toyota Sedan and just gettin owned by everything else in the end (looks wise and performance) Spesh if your gona spend all that money looking like that when a base model DC5 Type R is better stock :P

Your car, imo, should be minus a sun roof and with a normal shaped bonnet also :D But yeah agree with you that hatch aint much better. Then again its never meant to be what i'm comparing it to so its not a mishap on 'yotas half just odd if your gona buy a yaris sedan n try make it sporty.

Well, I never said I was going to race. Who in their right mind is going to race with a 106hp 1.5 lt engine?

I need it for the great mileage it gets, and since I am getting it... might as well make it look nice.

You guys need to get off the idea that just because it looks like that its a race car.

not much of a photoshopper but here's my effort. im more of a minimal less in-your-face type. subtlety is the key for me ;)

I honestly believe this car more then any other Toyota doesnt come across the same in pictures as it looks in real life. I did used to think it was kinda dumpy looking, but then I got to see the sedan at the NY auto show and wow, I was floored at how nice it was. The proportions are actually kinda sporty and if someone would lower it and put wheels that were 1" bigger I think it would be totally killer. Hopefully its just a matter of some brave souls being the first to buy it, then as people see it on the street more, they will appreciate it.

Defintely! Well said. I was able to catch glimpses of it on the lot and just haven't had time to see it in person. I will tomorrow. It's just such a wonderful car, I just dont see why people hate it. I mean different people, different countries prefer different cars, this is just like any other car.

I seen one at an intersection, but didn't quite get to see it closely because I was going north and he was coming south. Plus, at first glimpse, I thought it was the new Camry.

True but a lot of models have different body shapes.... I mean you get a Focus hatch and a Focus saloon, the Focus saloon looks very similar to a Mondeo but they still have them - and you see them everywhere, although not as much as the hatch! lol

I agree that the Yaris wouldnt work here as a saloon but it would work in the States I reckon!

Having seen a number of Sedan pics on the Interweb I've warmed to it. I think it could be modded to look the biz but there's still that problem of too small a powerplant. Anyway, to get a better idea of the sedan or the liftback (hatch) in the tin ;) go here, click on 'Yaris Virtual Test Drive' then select the highlighted city 'Los Angeles'. 'Beachy Venice' will take you around in the sedan, 'Indie Silverlake' and you're in the hatch!
