26 around town normal driving.....30 if you take it very gently.

was following an old gentelman with a flat cap today across Cheshire country lanes, 35 to 40 mph approx 40 to 43 mpg.

Went to the Lakes this week towing a small trailer at 70 mph, approx 35 mpg.

2.0 3S-FE engine, and I get between 26 to 32mpg. One thing i've noticed about this car is that it's very consistent. Basically it doesn't seem to change much wether on a run or popping around town.

Thanks guys (and gals)

I bought one not too long ago. Just been curious about the MPG.

Yesterday, I took it on a long 450 mile run (return) at mainly 95 mph going (daylight/dry) and at 80mph plus returning (night/wet). It gave me just about 27mpg. Locally, with myself and the missus driving, it gives just over 24 mpg. Those are the computer readins by the way. Are they correct? Am I overdoing the revs?

U see, my previous car, VW Bora TDi would give us locally 35+ mpg and 60+ motorway. Maybe I shouldn't compare diesel to petrol, or maybe I should just take it easy.

Dont compare the two mate, you'll just upset yourself. An average MPG for a Petrol RAV is around 25mpg in mixed driving with around 30mpg on a run at 60mph if you're lucky.

u sure it's petrol and not lpg. That is really cool.

My Bora 1.9 TDi gave us just about 35 or over locally, and that 'was' a diesel.

How d'u do it?

What fuel do you use and which filling station?

Just did 102 miles return yesterday... mainly motorway, some B roads and some town streets. I resetted the comp. before I set off. I kept a gentle touch to the accelerator and never really revved it... bit like driving like an over 80er (with all due respect)...

Comp reads Average Speed 49MPH @ 32.3 MPG...

Wooo... Hoooooo!!!!!

:D  B) :P
