Alternatively, Take out the small airbox feed tube which goes down the RHS side of the engine bay. Seems to run better too, as it's not trying to suck air through a pea-shooter!

The BMC filter arrived today so fitted it and took the car for a spin...there's not much difference in noise, just a bit throatier at the higher revs, but not much change when the car's sitting idle or running at lower revs to be honest....but the car accelerates a lot cleaner now, feels a lot smoother....definitely recommended.
