Help Me With My Fax!

Hi guys

Today I bought a new combo Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier, the HP Officejet 5610.

I've installed all the software and connected the fax up as i should believe it should be wired up. I receive a dial tone, the line is OK. I've tried to send a fax to see if it all works ok, and the thing dials up normally, as any other fax does, the starts beeping quicky even though you can still here it ringing the other end. It then says that the line is busy.

I have ADSL, and i've connected the fax into the filter, as shown in the instructions, but still nothing...

Anybody have any ideas, as I really need the thing working by tomorrow

cheers

Ross

You have plugged it into the telephne side of the filter and not the ADSL side, havn't you?

Good luck though...

Yeh i can only plug it into the 'Phone' side

you may need to do it pre filter .. as the beeps & squeaks may be getting filtered by the broad band micro filter.

I just did the fax manually and it seems to have gone through ok

Just popping up to see if my nan got it or not (forgot to set it to print reports D'OH!) otherwise if i do it pre filter it will end up a long way away from my PC :crybaby:
