A grim night for Tony Blair sees Labour lose more than 250 councillors - with the Tories making big gains.

The British National Party doubles its councillors - with its biggest gains in Barking and Dagenham.

The Tories are set for their best local elections since 1992 - the year they last won national power.

Hmm, seems more people are upset with Tony than I thought.

Strange about the BNP getting a stong foothold. I agree with some of their ideas, but at the end of the day, they are just racists using politics. I must admit I like to see such parties in there as *THAT* is what democracy is all about! If the majority want them, then the majority should have the say.

I agree with you on that. Some of there idea's are good such as dealing with the imigrant problem that this country have. But everything else they do is a bit racist saying thatall other race people don't have a right to be in the country. But i suppose eveyhthing that has happened you can understand why people have choose BNP over everyone else.

Anything would be better than My blair tho.
