just talking to a friend bout my project and talkin cats,so if you swap the engine does it go on the car or the year of engine?? :crybaby:

coz im gunna sulk if i have to fit one on the rola

in a nutshell both. with the rolla your ok cos the car didnt have a cat to start with so no need to fit one. if though you are fitting a non cat engine into a new car (>1994) then if you can prove the age of the engine you still dont need a cat, if you cant however then time to get saving for a race cat, these will still flow enough for 600bhp

not least me!!!! trust me guys, from what ive witnesesed so far this turbo will have no prob supplying air for over 500bhp!!. however i think the line will be drawn at or just short of this as ill still be running stock rods and crank.

ian at toyauto centre has the same turbo (with a slightly larger exhaust housing) on his GT4. it made 400bhp at just 1.2 bar (rated to 3bar :o ) and that was on std optimax too.

getting really itchy to get her back on the road now. it been a year since i started the restoration, problem is this is the expensive bit. prolly got about a grand pls mapping to finish her off
