Just the filter or an induction kit?

Apexi or the Envy one. Both around £115-£135. Both are dry-type so require only a quick clean every so often and they look the dags!

Envy one is located better though, and since it's a bit cheaper i'd recommend that one!

If your going to go with just a filter your not going to get any change to the sound and a very subtle increase in power matey!

eBay usually have loads, often at a very decent price.

The Envy one is a full system so very good but if you just want noise your best bet is to basically make your own induction kit up. Get hold of a universal dry air filter and then get the airfilter adapter from funkystyling and then just put them together could build one for around £35 that way i reckon! Yeah it won't be as good a performance as Envy's system (but would be helped with a cold air feed) but would be a lot cheaper, make the noise you want (unlike just a replacement panel filter) and can be as decent as the filter you put on the end basically. Plus could be easily relocated to where people put the relocated Apexi kit.

funkystyling will do dry filter aswell as any other car place really! I was just suggesting funky styling as if you go gold you get a discount and i know they do the adapter for the airflow meters there so would be easier getting all from one place imo. Can even get the Apexi cone itself there but not sure if that would mount directly onto the adapter. If you look at the airflow adapter meter on funkystyling, it will tell you what size inlet pipe you really want your dry filter to have (to avoid reducing pipes) Hope that helps mate!

Is it a universal one or one designed for the yaris? If it's designed for yaris you literally remove all of the old airbox and replace from the pipe from the inlet manifold. If it is a universal one you need that adapter i put in a post in this thread before to relocate the MAF sensor. A haynes manual may help with removing airbox if you like a step by step kind of approach. (could just go to Halfords and look it up in book and make notes :P)

Oops sorry mate must have been a different post i put the link in! Well yeah you will need one of these i think to accomodate the MAF. If you read the info on it sounds exactly like what you want. It's because atm the MAF is in the top of the airbox you are going to remove and as your air filter is literally a universal cone, you need somewhere after the cone to put the MAF sensor! I'm pretty sure this is what you need and hopefully someone will confirm! O yeah and this one requires your air filter to have a 3" outlet pipe (the pipe from the cone) so if it isn't then you may also need a downsizer!

Oops sorry my bad then! Just as i read it it said air flow adapter for fitment of any universal 3" clamp on induction kit so i guess it's something like that you need? Surely you need some kind of piping to hold the MAF in yeah?

Yep - the MAF is screwed into place in a specific mount. The likes of the Apexi, HKS and Envy systems come with one of these predrilled.

I know its possible to hack this section out of the standard airbox, but it means you cant put it back to standard later in if you need to.

Ive seen people over on the ozecho site make their own MAF holder, but it was a long fiddly process from what I remember.

Klkl so what is that a link to then? is it an adapter so you fit the current one from airbox onto pipe then airfilter on end or something? I was thinking image may be wrong or something and there actually a slot for MAF on it :P From description sounds like what he needs which is what confused me!

Plastic air flow meter adapter.

Poor wording on their half then as sounds like an adapter for an air flow meter aka AFM aka MAF?

Meh nm basically you need something else then for your universal one! :P
