Saw this on eBay today. Does it really do what it says, or is it as valid as those infamous 'Superhorsepower mod chip resistors' that people buy for £1 and flog for £30 on there?

Sounds like a load of rubbish.

Looking at it, it isn't even that .. it just looks like a solid fan in your intake ..

I think it's a great idea, to get more airflow, block off a wad of your intake. Don't bother breathing with your whole mouth, buy one of my straws for super fast breathing ..

They do a similar product for Landrovers called the Hiclone:

http://www.hiclone.co.uk/land_rovers/index.html

This bloke fitted 3 of them to get tripple the performance

HICLONE - TRIPLE IMPACT!

1997 Landrover Discovery 300 Td

"I was looking for ways to improve the performance of my 1997 Landrover Discovery 300 Tdi, without meddling with the basic engine. I fitted three Hiclones in the suggested places, for maximum effect, within 15 minutes.

I noticed the effect immediately: less engine noise, better acceleration. I was quite pleasantly surprised with the improved torque. It seemed like the engine was breathing more easily."

- Mr Philip Müller

The worrying thing is they have rolling road results to back up what they're saying (I still don't believe it though :) )
