Now Now, let's get back on topic... this is for helping someone, not questioning them.

PS I don't dislike anybody........

So,

What portable Sat Nav system have you fitted in the car?

Where did you get it from and what price?

As with anything you can't knock it till you've tried it.

The diesel box adds around 30% better performance, with increased fuel economy. I've had mine fitted for a few weeks now, and it makes a big difference.

Why do it? Well there is no real arguement there - however you get lots of extra performance and torque for very little money. My new 06 Yaris is running well over 100BHP now, and pulls like hell!

Fair comment although I still struggle a bit to understand the rationale, but it is an interesting subject none the less. I picked up my new 06 D4D today (with 5 miles on the clock) and the performance for a small car is already superb and I did test drive many in the same class (although the mitsub colt 1.5 was very hot at 105 bhp out the box). Are you not concerned aboout the extra engine wear and invalidating the 3 yr warranty on a new car - for an extra 10BHP?

I am also interested to know how you have measured the fuel economy and increased BHP?

regards

What about your insurance ???

I have just got a diesel ..... I am happy with the way it performs (2l diesel) and the MPG it gives me (70MPG driving easy).

It will be good to hear what it's like in a years time - problem/performance wise ;)

Try 20BHP+, it will go higher, - however you get problems with overfueling.

I thought the car was quick out the box anyway, but it will go much better.

Diesel tuning has far better potential than nat-asp petrol engines.

I'm not suggesting anyone tries it, but if you want to unlease the beast, then it's a good start.

Enjoy :) !!

No it doesn't.... Turbo tuning has far better pottential than N/A!

Mind you, diesels without turbo's are either so undesirable that you wouldn't buy one nevermind tune it, or they are ample to begin with (Citroen Picasso 1.6 HDi comes to mind - unrefined, but good at it's job)
