Strange Noise

Hi all,

Hope all your Yaris's are running well.

Bit of a question. A few times while my car is stationary on the road with the engine on, a vibrating noise (like when you wash the windscreen) happens at the back of the car. The sound then just stops. Is this supposed to happen?

It may have happened more frequently but my music is always loud so i must have drowned it out sometimes.

Have you fitted aftermarket Speakers? Perhaps if the music is loud that's caused a vibration to begin?

Sure it's the back?? It could be the radiator clicking on.

Could also be a slight vibration from the exhaust either touching the back bumber or the heat shield if the mount is jiggered.

Could also be the rear lock mechanism which is known to vibrate, but thats usually when moving.

what about the fuel pump, isn't this located in the back of the car.

the fuel pump eh? that explains some random clicking i hear from time to time
