Local Authorised Toyota dealer offering me a 2002 Amazon (new style) 4.7 36k miles for 21k or 12k if trading in my current Colorado 3.4 2001(X) 55k miles. For this, he's also going to MOT, service (A), put 4 new tyres on, fit a witta towbar (twin elecs) and get the windows tinted!

Comes with usual warrantee etc plus full toyota SH and I'd convert it to lpg and still make a huge saving on the trade book value - but he's giving all the usual guarantees etc.

I'd end up with a car that does (cost relatively) 30mpg+ and a range of min 760 miles with both petrol and lpg tanks full (great for towing a caravan, lol).

I know petrols are hard to shift but what else could I be missing here?

ta,

Sword

ps - and are there any disadvanteage to lpg conversion apart from the cost and finding a garage?!

So he is giving you £9k for your colorado? according to parkers thats about right... and £21k is about right for the Amazon.

If you like the Amazon then go for it man as the 4.7 2UZ is a fine engine
