As per title. Do the rear seats fold down flat so you can get bigger items in easily?

On the picture on Toyota website, it doesn't look like it.

Good question. On the Corolla (and I presume the Yaris, although I never tried it with mine) you can unclip the rear seat cushions and take them out. Although it isn't advertised as folding completely flat, the seat back will if you do this.

I wondered if the Aygo was the same.

After lugging many loads of stuff back to Ireland in my T Sport, I only discovered last week that the seats can fold flat!!! I didn't realise the seat bottoms could clip out as when I tried first, it seemed they were rigid!

Its best to make sure someone else ruins their car before you try anything!

Mine's a basic Aygo with single rear seat.

Which edge to you tug on, to unclip it..... front edge, or back?

Also.... does it fold over into the footwell at the rear, or does it have to be removed from the car altogether?

Cheers,

Raggy :)

Brill! Worked a treat! :)

Anyone else having a go.... don't be afraid to give it a real good tug where the clips are at the front edge of the seat.

The main reason for doing it was because I'm moving house, and needed to get a load of boxes and stuff in the back without them falling over!!

The seat and the back shelf slotted into the gap behind the front seats a treat, and I had a flat base for my stuff.

I didn't half get a lot of stuff in the car for each trip, and it hardly affected the performance... well impressed.

Cheers,

Raggy :)
