Cleaning Ait Filter

Hi,

I have an up-rated panel filter in my car and has been in there 6 months, I am servicing my car this weekend and was planning to clean the filter.

How do you clean these filters they say they are cleanable but I do not know how, I have seen kits around but they mainly seem to be cotton/paper filters and I have foam filter?

Any advice would be appreciated

is it an oiled filter or dry ?

if dry i'd leave it or clean it using soap flakes steeped it hot water then leave to dry, if its oiled like kn you need a kn filter service kit .
