My sills are in a very poor way and need some serious attention before I get my truck MOT'd.

It would make my life a lot easier if I could find some weld in sills, unfortunately I havent managed to find anyone who sells them yet

Also my buck is pretty rusty :(

Quick update, I'll be getting them from Toyota as they are 'only' £48 plus VAT each.

Glad my friend is really handy with a welder.

You might want to coat the inside with something that will keep them from going rotten again.

Maybe some drainage holes with rubber plugs if they dont already have them

Good point :)

I did already think about this and was considering expanding foam, but am worried that it may sweat and make it worse...

Emmigraing to Australia would be easier!

We dont get sill rot unless you go down the beach and fill em with salt water and leave them. :ffs:

Have a look on the inside, the landcruisers have 3 rubber plugs on each side maybe the Hilux has em too:thumbsup:

I think the foam would hold moisture

I think that I will just make an extra special effort to keep them clean, whats caused all of my problems has been a build up of mud where water should be able to drain from. Instead its just sat there and rotted its way out gradually, this is extra bad in the uk because of all the salt that they put on our roads in the winter.

I just cut mine out and made new ones from 3x2 box section, so they now act as jackable sills.
