Painting Rear Drums

Yo all,

Sorry to ask a possibly repeated question but couldn't find much on search.

Is there anything to be aware of when painting rear drums? I've read somewhere that someone has done it, but that was about it? Presumably the same hammerite stuff is suitable?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah Hammerite is what I used for the drums on my old car. As long as you make sure you just paint the drum (ie dont get any paint on the brake line or bleed screws) you'll be fine

I've Hammerited loads of drums and front disk calipers with no problems. But I always copperease the drum/wheel junction to ensure the wheel does not stick to the drum.
