:( :( :( Read some posts on forum but new member and not good at it yet. Basically this seems a common problem to D4D ie in YARIS and various remedies offered. Would prefer to rule out all basic stuff before presenting at garage. Car has been great before this recent event. I bought it as a demonstatrastor at 6000 miles. Fully serviced at Toyota dealer since and 3 year warranty now up. Can you advise on worksop manuals or more basic how do i rule out fuel line problems or fuel filter. I dont even know how to drain pump to see if water in it and verso bulkhead seems to cover pump pretty well. Is there a drain tap underneath fuel filter /pump how do i do it as this is first diesel. Any suggestions most helpful

Did you get the owners book when you brought the car from Toyota?

It tells you in there how to check if there is water in filter...... besides, there is a light on the dash that will illuminate if needs looking at....

Welcome to TOC by the way :D

Yes but owners book does not shoew you how to drain fuel filter as you suggest, nor indicates any DIY procedures, apparently a warning light will come on but what if this is not working or like
