desprate help needed, there is a load and i mean a load of white smoke coming out of the exhaust and this is due to engine oil being burnt but i dont know where the problem lies...theres white smoke coming from the exhaust turbo side, the intake sounds like its choking to death, theres engine oil going through the intercoooler(loads)...could this be something wrong with the head gasket or turbo failure? its its bad its very bad...

thanks for any answers

sounds like turbo seals to me - however you may find turbo is damaged - you won't know until you take it to bits.

I have the same problem with my cynos, lots of smoke,i checked the turbo and theres alot of play in the shaft and its leaking oil on the exhaust side, made a phone call and i have to replace the seals and bearings and it might need more work if that doesnt cure it,repair kits are cheap enough, depending on the type of turbo you have of course,by the way, what type of turbo are you using

its almost certainly the ct9b that the Glanzas have as standard. You won't know the full story until its carefully dismantled (turbos have to be dismantled and mantled again afterwards carefully to maintain balance.)

I've got a secondhand ct9b on its way to me if you need it.

Is there much if any difference between the ct9 and the ct9b turbo

yup i think it must defo be a turbo problem, its bad and im sad, bringing it into the garage next thursday to see the damage..thanks for the offering of the turbo but i'll have to wait and see what exactly the problem is...i heard genuine toyota ct9b turbos are 1000 pounds or so...its big money for small me..damnit the turbo is getting old and there were already engine oil coming out the dumpvalve previously...and up at 6,000rpm the turbo made a very high pitch squeal and engine note changes too..should have seen it coming..damnit...damnit...damnit....

the ct9a only has 8 blades on the compressor wheel,

while the ct9b has 9
