Parents just bought another Yaris for my sister, I'm somewhat jealous :P.

Its a 5 door 03 reg Yaris T-Spirit with a 1 litre engine, and 8000 miles on the clock.

Phase 2, so exterior is okay, but I love the interior! Seats are much more cushy than the ones in my SR, plus the trim is a lot nicer, with the exception of the digi dash change which didn't do much!

However, just drove my SR and it's much nicer to drive, not that the T-Spirit isn't, its just faster!

Although is it just me who thinks it looks a bit Thunder Grey? Must have been a dull day....

it is thunder grey......

Can't be - you can't get T-Spirit in Thunder Grey, only the Colour Collection which came out in 05 (like Al J's) and the T-Sport....

Thats weird - because it defo said Thunder Grey on the tag the guy gave! What colour could it otherwise be?

I'm pretty sure.... Thunder Grey was always a T-Sport only colour and there was uproar when they had it on the Colour Collections.... :lol:

I'm sure the 2005 Colour Collection was the first non-T-Sport model to be Thunder Grey - I honestly thought your sisters was Silver but just looked darker in the lack of light.... :unsure:

Like this silver T2... crap picture but it looks grey in the crud light....

Either way, it looks very nice. Just as well for your jealousy, she hasn't got the 1.3. ;)

Haven't got the car yet, only paid a deposit, it'll arrive on my sister's birthday in June!

I shall have to check with the dealer! Otherwise we could have a very unique T-Spirit!

Will a registry check thingy on the DVLA confirm this?

Yeah it should be registered with the DVLA what colour it is.... although they arent very specific.... lol Although I'm sure they differentiate between Grey and Silver.... :lol:

It could well have been re-sprayed Thunder Grey, it does look a lot like it - if it is, your sister has even more reason to celebrate really! :lol:

Probably not. My car is listed as silver, I think. Just as a car in say, "Tequila Sunrise" (like the ad!) would be classed as "red".

Anyway, looking at it again, I think Matt's hat is safe. That looks very Thunder Grey to me and if that's what they said it was, fair enough. You won't see too many others around, if any!

I wonder if Toyota used up bodyshells of Yarii destined for Europe and brought them to the UK to shift them?

See above. TG is more silver than grey especially in bright light.

I love it when it "goes" darker on a dull day. :yes:

Oh and I just checked my car with the DVLA and, as I thought, it's listed as SILVER. :rolleyes:

That is thunder grey! I remember a few months back we had a discussion on here about thunder grey yarii that werent colour collections or T-Sports..we couldnt believe it back then but it turned out to be true..plus I remember someone found a for sale ad of a Thunder Grey car that was around the same age as this one.

A lot of people do mistake Ice Blue for Silver though....but that is definately thunder grey IMO.
