Shoulda had SR's powder coated gunmetal like raywong did imo  was the sweetest look against carlo blue with red brakes behind :D Plus Sr multispokes own Tsport 6 spokes imo!

Lol what is the random blue tubing in the engine bay that is randomly cut off all about punk? :P Oooo n get those wing mirrors painted dude!

O and how much shorter is that aerial? reception still tip top?

Ray painted his. These are powder-caoted!

Yes, the sr's wheels are hot, but i've still got them for when i want them... plus this looks much more jap-slag than before and gives the car a hint of a meaner-edge!

Blue-tubing is a hose-kit from halfrauds (well, clarky again really!) that doesn't cover all the pipework, so i covered it best i could. It looks better than standard and im 99% sure it's better than your un-driven bay!:thumbsup:

Oh, aeriel is half size and cost me nttin' nip, nadda and it fits on the base properly. And it's not ghey silver and reception is still poifect.

Imho my engine bay actually looks better minus the Apexi :P Shoulda left 'Yota badges unpainted on cover and tubing done proper or none at all imo :P

But ok spray them like Ray's as you know that looked best! But dunno if makes look jap but i know it dont look better than gunmetal Sr's :P But na mate its yours and you still have originals i sposes :) But yeah lower it and should look better! I deffo like the black contrast of wheel and dark colour of the paint against the striking red calipers :D

O and OI you cheeky sod my car has been driven! How'd you think i got it from dealers into garage  o and how did it get the 42k miles on clock :P

Did you drive it?

Erm, engine cover was sprayed, i couldn't be a**ed to mask it and im carp at artistic things, so to paint the lettering would have been a disaster.

I didn't wanna paint the normal rims as i'll need some standard parts come sell-up time!

I think that looks good btw !!! I think it just needs lowered a tad more and it will be spot on .. unfortunately not too keen on engine bay !! better than standard tho !!!

Loose the Tri-Lock locking wheel nuts, cos i can guarantee you WILL have problems with the holes on the stud turning oval, then the locking tool will just slip off cos it will have nothing to grip onto.. and/or, the pins in the locking tool WILL wventually break off. They must be THE worst locking wheel nuts ever produced... trust me, i see it happen on a daily baisis (almost)

Other than that...

Love the new wheels but gotta agree that the SR wheels would have been better ;) !

Also get the mudflaps off and put on some TS side skirts  !

Not sure about the black and blue mate, but those wheels look great with the red calipers.... you're car is quite literally smokin' - in fact, I can kinda say mines kinda almost as good because its the same colour as yours....

Yeah ok, dont quote me on that....:lol:

And thats not a short aerial....

Thats a short aerial!

Looking good there with the rims, but i;m afraid i agree with the other guys on the engine bay looking a bit poor.

But if your happy with your car thats what counts.

Yep agree on the SR rims - but I'm biased (plus I think they're some of the best-looking stock rims I've seen). I'm working on a photoshop to see what they'll look like on the '2 as I've got a brand new spare set to put to use, might as well :P

Not sure about the black & blue combination. I think white wheels would poss look more Jap-Slag, or as said, gunmetal. However, if you perhaps get some light tints on the windows, it may tie the blue/black look in better. The engine bay cover would perhaps look best in blue (same blue as bodywork) to colour coordinate with the car/hoses & blue black scheme.

*But* reads like you love it and not afraid to experiment, so enjoy! :D

I agree about the wheel nuts. Is it a common problem?

Mine was mashed up last week and I'm having to get them drilled off today :-(!

*Sigh*

Nice wheels, I like the look !

I think it looks good, I've never been a fan of black wheels, especially on a dark car but they don't look too bad. I think you need to decide what you're doing with your engine bay, there's plenty of red in there then a load of blue pipe covering, I'd keep everything the same colour if I was going to do that. Does look good though but it would look miles better with the mirrors colour coded.

It's an almost daily occurence for us at work... the holes go out of shape on the nut and broken pins on the removal tool.. complete and utter mince excuse for a locking nut... even after only a couple of uses this can happen.

Even the mcgard lock nuts cause problems.. the little flower shape thing on the removal tool tends to twist and can even break off if the nut is on too tight... but they are one of the better types.

The above nuts are the best IM(proffesional)O.. we never have any problems with them.

Second set of the nuts... first set shredded... these were free (after some hassle!) I will change them when I can.

Cheers for all comments guys... yes, engine bay is a mish-mash, but what did you excpect from a man who re-located an induction kit with see-through silicone hosing (available in diet form!):lol::thumbsup:

I'll sort it at some point, but it'll do for now.

Next few things on list are lowered, tints, cf bonnet and whatever is affordable on the way! I knew all this would happen!! Damned modding disease!

All those mods you mentioned will make that car look sweet as mate! I love the stealthy carbon on carlo blue and lowered looks sooo tasty! Just tidy the engine bay up and you got yourself a car to be proud of :)

Was it hard to relocate your induction kit?

I've got some that look reasonably similar to those but they have got 4 of those stud type things, do they have the same problems? If I remember correctly, the garage ordered directly from Mr T

Mate - they look even better in the flesh. You now need to lower and tint I reckon...

CF bonnet is the way forward also ... and to think you werent gonna mod your car ... how did that happen???

Nah, one of the easiest mods to do... just do it right!
