Buying First Yaris

Driving 1.0 litre isn't that bad as a new driver! I drove our 1.0 litre Micra for about 5 months after I passed my test and compared to the Yaris, it was shocking! I've test driven a 1.0 litre Yaris and to be honest, aside from the slight lack of power, it is very similar to drive compared to the Corsa and Fiesta (I think or Focus) that I learnt to drive in!

You won't really have to re-learn how to drive it, it'll just be adapting your driving style to take account of how it reacts differently.

But if you can get a 1.3 go for it! Just don't be too put off 1.0 litres :)!

You ever tried going into 1st gear when you're going above 3mph? My car doesn't enjoy the experience 1 little bit

Yeah, do it all the time... it's all in the clutch work. Gearbox just slides around beautifully. You gotta balance the revs that's all... easy when you get the hang of it. (Not that im showing off, i just drive a lot in town and the use of first gear is very handy!)

This man has a bullet proofed clutch, engine and gearbox... and earplugs!

Engine is great, gearbox is sublime and clutch is smooth and sweet! The eraplugs can be necessary at times... but that's my right foots fault!

LOL! i did consider editing it but was just poor wording on my half! :P What i meant is, to someone who doesn't know difference, it's the sportier trimmed one and it was sold at a higher price than the GLS from Toyota. Therefore if i found one of these for under £4k you should find a GLS in that price easy! :P

I just said that in 5 words in brackets instead hoping he wouldn't take the wrong way!

No, dont be put off a 1.0 by all means.... they're not awful or anything....

But the 1.3 does have a bit of extra pep The 1.0 should be perfectly adequate for your needs, but personally, I'd recommend a 1.3
