14 days ago I had a new drivers door lock fitted at a cost of £205 the work was done at Toyota Blackpole road main dealer workshop, the lock has now come away from the door each time I pull to open the door the whole lock plate comes away from the door body? The door speaker front panel is hanging off; a screw is missing from the inside door panel so that is loose, trouble is I am worried about letting them touch my car again as they are incompetent or have fools working for them, who could I complaint to or take action through anybody know :help: cheers Jim.

No need to worry - they HAVE to do the job properly or they are under risk from Trading Standards let alone Toyota GB!!!

Ask to speak to the Head of The Service department and speak Frankly about your concerns - But be polite at this point - Ask for the work to be supervised and tested fully by the chief technician.

They HAVE to re-do it! And it has to be RIGHT!

Hi gordypix, you were right I took the car back saw the service manager who has booked it in for this friday it would have been done there and then but he had to order new parts as the speaker grill on the door had been broken- a fixing screw on the door panel had been left off and they will tighten up the door handle. I hope it comes out ok,many thanks for your time and help cheers Jim.
