Couriers?

Does anyone know what couriers deliver by the size of the parcel and not the weight? I've got something to send and it's not that big but it's really heavy.

Always used parcel2go.com myself - never failed to collect or deliver but some people say they are rubbish so I guess it depends where you live.

They do, but the base weight is up to 20kg - plenty heavy. They also have the best (imho) tracking and coverage in the UK without it being fobbed off to some subcontractor who'll add another couple of days to any delivery (that was particularly important when I lived in the Highlands...)

If its really big, or really heavy for that matter, you could try ukbackloads.com

You advertise the job you need doing and how much you are willing to pay and then interested couriers ring you up. Its good because you get a dedicated van so size and weight are not an issue and they all have insurance of about £5000 so that covers pretty much any part you need to send. It’s free to use and you can get stuff done really cheap, I got a full engine from Bristol to Manchester for £40 – impressive! It can take a few days to get it covered so you might struggle if you need something urgent, but on the whole I thought it was excellent.
