It is, but do you really want to high light the fact that they are drums.

I wouldn't do, but it is fine to do so.

Yep should be!

I just did three of mine (the fourth one's wheel nut got mashed and I only just got it drilled off - thats really homo).

Not hard at all to just jack the car up and take the wheels off - it'll make for a better job in the end because you'll be able to see what you're doing! Also, it'll make it quicker to dry because more exposure?

Just do it in bits, and you'll be fine.

I've painted my drums and callipers in Satin Black, and they look alright. Doesn't really highlight the fact that I have drums because they now sort of disappear into the car, but if you look for them then they look quite nice :). Likewise with callipers - I was going for more of a reducing negative attention thing than attracting positive attention - i.e. whereas before they were all grey and caught your eye, now they fit in really well with the car.

For the drums I used spray on copper grease from Halfords - about £3 at the advise of another TOC member just a few days ago - to stop the wheel sticking to the drum! Just make sure you spray it on something else for a bit first otherwise it goes on a bit thick and one of my drums is somewhat orangy-black! I covered the screws whilst spraying, heh, probably not the best idea to grease the bolts that hold your wheel on!

Some pictures for you:

The unpainted calliper (with the mashed wheel nut) - just for comparison:

sweet! How many layers did you do for calipers? How long did it take for them to dry? I think i may have to get some black hammerite for drums now as calipers gona be red and was just gona leave drums but bit ugly n look better black :D O and does the grease go on over the spray to stop it sticking when you put back on then?

Dude, you can have the rest of my black hammerite! I literally used a few teaspoons of the stuff (quantity wise!).

Watford isn't too far from Aylesbury heh. (On a side note, the A41 inbetween is a kickass road - you can do silly speeds there).

Just one layer for everything, and it took 2 hours to dry? I don't think it was completely dry, but it got to the point where it wasn't so sticky, and also I got tired of waiting :P.

Eh? My Hammerite is the paintbrush stuff, and the copper grease was spray on. So one coat of Hammerite and just a quick spray with the copper grease just before I put the wheel on, yep.

Oops! Typo :!Removed!:

Rear drums - I need to paint my rear drums. Front callipers would look a bit tidier with a coat too tbh.

Get the grooved disc rotor things for your front and some braided brakelines, and some better pads!

Then, if you have any money left, get discs fitted :P.

Yeah "alot" is all Mr T seems to say really!

Good idea! Will Mr T have better pads or go to some auto shop?

Not hijacking the thread at all!

Na they all use endless and green for rear discs (less important) If you want better braking on any yaris, first things are upgraded lines and brake fluid, upgraded pads to endless and upgraded discs to 3G ones! The braking is front bias (65% front 35% rear kinda stuff (at a guess)) so you dont want to fit rear discs first as wont be noticed half as much as less money spent elsewher!
