hello all i am change my air con pump the weekend (just had it degassed) as the pump is very noise! Been wanting to do a decat for a while now just woundered if it was easyer with the air con pump out of the way coz i have heard that all the bolts snap when removing the old cat????!? if it makes it easyer to do will change the catat the same time then i wont have to mess about taking it all off again

Definately useful if yoyu can get the aircon pump out of the way. (Also the rads) You have to use a variety of tool, Extensions etc. so room is at a premium. Bit of a tip for you. Invest in a good quality 14mm half moon ring spanner, if you haven`t got one already. :thumbsup:

ok thanks for that got all the tools already just got to do it now want to try and do it with out snapping the bolts if i can but will have to wait and see i guess

You`ll be very lucky if you don`t shear at least one. :yes: Plenty of penetrating fluid for a couple of days beforehand should help. :yes: Good luck. :thumbsup:
