hi all, my new corolla ts is already 3500 kms old and i said to myself it was time to enter a motorway. At about 170 kms/h (110 mph) it began to make an intermitent soft howling noise that disappears when speed is lowered. is it worth checking with the dealer? is it toyota's contribution to law enforcement in higways? any advice will be highly appreciated.

Is it possible that you mean the noise of the wind ???

The problem with the wind-noise above 180km/h has all CTS ! It comes from the windscreen.

hopefully could be so. it is speed dependent - it happens at the same speed regardless of gear -.

i also think it depends of the wind direction because i remember the noise came at higher speeds when you go eastward than westward.

if this is the case it should be warned in the manual.

thanks for your reply.
