Windshield Wiper

I have bought 2 new wipers for my windshield. But the dimensions are different. Or...I think that the big one is the same as standard (53 cm), but the other one is much more bigger (maybe twice): 45 cm.

I didn't know what was the standard one, because I bought the car with others wipers. But I saw one on other Yaris and the standard is real short!

The question is: can the system of the wipers brokedown because that wiper si bigger and heavier? And the friction si higher?

Btw, the wiper is OK. I mean it's going from corner to corner with no obstruction on the windshield. And is cleaning perfect. And the price was ... just some coins

you'll have no problems with the wiper being bigger

the standard wiper size is

14" or 350mm for the passenger side

20" or 500mm for driver side

that's standard size on my facelift

I think on the ph. 1 they are 1" bigger

so 15" and 21"

Thanx for the answers.

and yes, is 18" the "little" one...and I'm so impressed of the performance :)

But about the rear wiper...on the phase I the plastic that holds the wiper is very close to the window; and i have to go every day an a cubic road. And that plastic on the window makes a horrible loud noise. All the people that I've took, and stayed in the back were frighten about it :) But that's not the main problem...the problem is that the window has been scratched by the plastic arm. Is there any solution? (other than buying a phase II arm)

Cheers

My rear wiper arm is good (phase one) I've had no problems with the action.

I am always looking for a like for like replacement as the arm has cracked right where the wiperblade clips on.

toyota wants £38.00 I think. that's a bit much for my liking.

Ok, maybe I explained wrong.

I also have no problem with the action, the problem is that when the wiper is OFF, the arm stays too close to the window, and when i take a hole or i'm going on cubic roads the arm, exactly at the bend, is hitting the window all the time. So, it scratched the window. :(

Any sugestions how I can stop that?

Take the arm off, that would solve the problem.
