Sr Exhaust

Hey guys,

Just a random question - why does the TTE exhaust on my SR sound much deeper when the car is loaded up? Is it because it vibrates less because more weight holding everything down?

Its fairly noticeable when I've got a full tank vs an empty one, and earlier tonight had 4 people in the car plus myself and it sounded amazingly deep!

Any ideas?

I guess -

It's because the engine is under more stress and therefore having to work harder, resulting in more gases being expelled

it sounds deeper, because your pulling more weight

Yeah you might also notice it when you put the air con on at idle, for the same reason. The air con needs to take power from the engine etc, so yeah its reasonable that its deeper when the car's loaded up! Also just after you come off the motorway!!

I know mine does, subtle as the TTE is, its still noticeable! :D

I like the TTE exhaust, subtle when you need it but when you get up to higher revs sounds immense! Not screamy like chav exhuats, nice and deep!
