I wasn;t a fan untill I actually drove one...

At the end of the day its a decent fairly lightweight RWD chassis with a very strong and fairly pokey little engine...

TBH after owning one and turbo'ing them my mind has changed on the 5, it's a great car, cheap to Turbo and maintain and drives amazigly well...

When I next have funds for a track toy would be hard pushed to choose between a 2 and a 5 as the 5 is so much cheaper to run and insure and with the turbo conversion which can be done for less than 1k its similar performance!
