I think most would agree life should mean life for those responsible but a petition cannot sway a Judges decision - That would be unlawful and would in time lead to appeals based on potentially influenced thinking by the judge whilst sentancing.

The Judge will do what the Law allows him/her to do and all the Sun is going to do is attract more readers........

All the family of the victim can do is hope for the stiffest sentance and pray that it is duration of life..........But that's only a small step to overcoming the loss which of course they never will.

Unfortunately the Sun have mastered the art of picking up on other peoples grief to increase the amount of their own wallets, how much extra do you think they`will make from links on their webby by people passing around this petition and visiting their site when there is nothing lawful they may do.
