Just wondering if anyone out there can help me.

I've got a 2004 Rav 4 which has just developed a water leak. Whenever it rains water seems to be getting in somewhere, running down the interior trim and dripping out at the join where the trim meets the dash on the passenger side.

I've tried to locate where it could be getting in without much success. Am positive it has nothing to do with the door seals and thought maybe it's getting in somewhere on roof but can't see where.

If anyone has had a similar problem or can offer a possible solution I'd be most grateful.

Regards,

Dean Austen

Just a quick one: if you have a sunroof, check that the drains aren't blocked.

To test, open it and tip a small amount of water round the edges to make sure it goes straight down the drain pipes, and doesn't just fill them up.

Could be the sunroof glass seal, Iv just replaced my glass....luckily from a breakers at a cost of £100.

My problem was water leaking from the front of the glass seal down onto the drivers seat and also wetting the roof lining near the intirior light switch.

I'm told that if it is the glass seal, it comes as one unit and the seal cant be replaced seperatly.

Check the plastic round clips on the strengthening cross bars of the glass for leakage when it rains (or use a hosepipe), this will tell you if it's the glass seal.

Should this not come under your three year warranty ?

Cheers Stuart. Checked and drains looked like they might have been blocked. Have done watering can test and all is dry (hosepipe ban down here means will have to wait for next big rains to fully test!)

Thanks for your help.
