Hiya Peep :)

Just a quick question.

I am due to change my shocks the weekend, but what i want to know is:

Do i have to compress the spring 1st before taking it off the car, or can i compress it once i have removed the strut it?

Any advice would be great

compress it when its off , loosen the nut when its on the car first though.

i personally dont bother compressing the celica springs , because they dont give much rebound when taking off the top hat nut anyway.place the strut againt a brick wall and undo the nut slowly until it " comes loose " it only shoots about 4 " , not that strong to blow your head off and no parts fall out , to be safe however compress it when its off the car about 3 coils length
