You knowledgable folk............please help

When I put my driver side window down and drive a noticeable squeaking noise happens. Why the hell is this happening. I have no answer to it. Can anyone help and hopefully tell me how to sort it. Its so strange and a bit annoying as its summer and all!!!!

Cheers

Could it possibly be the wing mirror? My Yaris Blue had a whistle coming from it which was very high pitched, like a squeak which was easily remedied by putting a piece of draft excluder in between the holding arm of the mirror and the casing.

Just a thought for you as a few of us have suffered from it ;)

Mines does it from time to time - usually when the window hasnt been used for a while. In my case its just dust and muck sticking to the window then getting dragged down into the mechanism... if it gets bad I take the door card off and hoover all the debris out and give it a clean.

Hi

Thanks for the replies and sorry for my late one.

I think it has something to do with the wind mirror, i will try and put a draft excluder there. I always seem to be looking at the windmirror whenever the whistle sound comes on.

Thanks again

Does it happen when it rains?

It could be the rubber squeaking due to being dry or having grit between the glass and rubber.

When i put my window down it squeaks to, its the glass in my wing mirror, the plastic is cracked there so doesnt fit properly (i think previous owner hit wing mirror against something) so it may be that mate! Any1 no how much these costs?
