Celica Core Plugs

Hi, Hope someone can help me. I have a 1989 Celica 2.0 GTI-16 (Gen4). I am having problems with the core plugs leaking. I have been back to the garage twice with leaks and they have replaced the plugs with new. Typical that they are on the inlet side of the block, making inspection impossible without a ramp/lift. Does anyone have any ideas as to why after about 2-3 weeks they start to leak? Any help with this will be fantastic as it is doing my head in. Thanks.
