Lol i'm gona drive out onto my main road and then get to the housing estate close by first just to ease myself in so i can get used to the car and that. Will be my absolute first time behind the steering wheel on road (reversing in and out of garage etc doesn't really count :P) Really looking forward to the first drive :D

Gave the car a real good clean today ready for the occasion and was really impressed with the Meguiars stuff i used! ScratchX was a bit dissapointing as there are still visible swirls but the Tech Wax afterwards did a very good job of hiding these! Cheers to lee for the advice to use tech wax :D Very nice! I do have a hell of a lot of Stone chips though but will drive down to Toyota maybe tomorrow and pick up a touch up pen :) Got some piccies i will just upload to photobucket and then link to in sec!

EDIT: Here we go, photo's of my car that has been washed, shampoo'd, scratch X'd, waxed, had trim blackened and been hoovered :P If anyones interested i used a Meguiars NXT pack from Halfords and bought Meguiars Scratch X and the tools where either cheapo's from Halfords or tesco's (which are cheaper and better!)

Hmm,

I know the SR isn't exactly the worlds fastest car, but you do find it surprisingly fast straight out of a driving school's car...

Take it easy and you'll be fine!

Very shiny, like it, and I'm not usually a fan of red cars! (Unless they're Ferraris)

I think the Red and Black contrast really sets it off :D Could throw some white in there too perhaps but will see :D

Does Campervans 'little crew' include Earpl and myself? Just curious cos I dont think either of us has ever been accused of being little!

If i'm included then there's definatley no chance of being called little! Think Balloo the bear crossed with Yogi and that's just about me!

Well done on passing eventually... now you can learn to drive.

Oh, don't crash... it'd be waste of a good car.

Lol i only been learning from febuary so that aint too long seveer and thanks for the care for my life in a crash not just the car :P But yeah no plans to crash it! And i was only mucking around with the crew thing :P

Congratulations!!

It's a massive cliche and I got sick of people saying it to me when I passed but.. now the learning really starts. Going out on your own is pretty scary the first time (or maybe that's just me)

Oh yeah, with the Meguiars ScratchX - If you haven't already, have a look at the forums on the Meguiars site. There's a fair bit of info on how to use it well. Apparently the instructions are quite basic, but the stuff on the forum is really handy. Your car is looking good though :)

It looks good, shiney zorst too.

But i'll agree with lee about it being a bit pink in colour, mine was more of a bright red

Looks a very deep red in person so i'm guessing its the poor quality camera (only a cheap one) In person its actually a very nice deep red which i admired after waxing :D :P First drive is now tomorrow as insurance came today :D And meeting up with Yaris SR kid aswell :P Busy day!

Not a happy day at the start!!!! Grrrrrrrr, went out to my car at like 11:30 to find out i have flatish tire so i pump it up and start fine detailing my car and come back to the wheel to find its flatish again, so i drive to the near by garage let them have a look maybe plug the puncture and they tell me i have a 4cm piece of thin glass in it they cant plug! So they go off 2 find me a tire but they dont have any and cant get any till tmoz! and they cant put the old wheel back on as its gone down far to much now! so my car is on three wheels at a near by garage as we speak! (dont steal it!!)

I walk back home and my neighbour jokingly asked me why i was walking as i drive everywhere these days so i told him, (he is getting double glazing fitted at the moment so the glass probably came from there) he then said sorry about a million times and offered to pay for 2 new tires and gave me £100!

My front tires were only like a month old anyway!!! which is the really annoying thing!!

Theres my sad story :(

Sorry for letting you down woody! definally next week, ill buy you a drink :P lol

Ah that sucks, I feel your pain. Had to change 3 of mine a few months back - drivers side on was running bare, one of the rear tyres had a nail through it and the other had a slit on the side of the tyre. Ended up getting all 4.

Presumably you have a spacesaver spare? And how come it doesn't have a tyre?!
