Question Bout Double Dins?

Hi i was just wondering do all double din cd players fit the 2006 yaris?? for example like this one

they should do, you would just need the fascia surround from toyota, which is the same size as the double din HU

Thought he means the new Yaris, and whilst it's definite that you can have double din radios with the fascia adaptor for the *old* Yaris...not so sure about the newer one.

I thought everyone used to say fitting Double Din stereos to MKI yari' was hard anyway and not just straight into the supposed "double DIN" adapter?

But yeah best for '06 yari lot is to ask at toyota

Ahhh ok thanks guys.......so if i do get the pioneer double din, i would have to get a fascia surround, for it to be fitted?.....

it does look like it's a double din,

have you taken the dash apart to see if an aftermarket one will fit in

looking at that i'm pretty sure they will fit

Becuz it is a stocked double din.

Some people are sayin that some double din players wont fit and i need some thing to fit in.

and some people it will fit perfectly, just replace the stocked one.

But i really concerned if i buy the pioneer double din player, it wont fit and i need to create a custom fitting in thing..."fascia surround" or sumfin

P.S i have contacted about 3 toyota places and 1 said it will fit.............and 2 said it may or may not fit. I also have contacted the seller of the pioneer double din in the eBay site....and he said said it "should" fit if i have a stocked double din already.

Im really confused.....im gambling $400AUD. If i do get it....it might not fit or it will fit. SO what do u think guys? should i get it?

To be absolutely certain, you'd need to take your current one out, possibly measure the size of the space and compare it with the size of a typical double din unit - probably google it for this.

If there is any discrepancy then I would look further into possible fascias.

just measured the double din unit surround in my yaris and it's 200mm wide by 100mm high. (give or take a few mm)

if you can find out the size of your unit in your car now

then find the size of the HU you want and match them

as long as it's the same size as above it should fit.

Just found out that the double din should fit straight in with no problems

I decided yesterday that with my next paycheck im gonna purchase the pioneer head deck. And you sayin "should fit straight in with no problems" would boost up my confidence in buyin the product.

Ill let ya'all know how it goes, and when i get it fitted, ill show u pics of it

Just so you know the americans have had the new Yaris a bit longer than us, and it has the same HU, and they said it fit's straight in, it's when you buy a single din unit you have the work and trouble.
