Faulty Cd Radio

hi folks can anyone tell me how to get the radio out of a 2001 avensis, i turned mine of the other day and when i went to turn it back on i got nothing, the sat nav and mileage computer bits work but no radio or cd player, i did look at both the fuses one in the dash and one under the bonnet they both seemed ok any ideas as to why it aint working or how hard it is to replace iit with a standard sized unit cheers.

p.s come on england.........

Ah, just noticed this thread, mine has doen the exact same thing. However mine starts working again for 5-10 minutes if I turn off the engine and restart it.

Does your CD player still seem to play? I can still switch discs / tracks and the cd play clock still counts but it doesn;t play through the Speakers. I'm thinking the problem is amp/output based.

Let me know if you hear anything, and same here, I'll pass on any info I get regarding it.

Just posted in my other thread, but it's either dry joints or the main processor has died. First one can be sorted quite easily, second will need sending to Fujitsu via Toyota.
