I know this has got to be one of the most commonly asked questions ever  but where on earth can you get any technical data for repairs and servicing on the D4D avensis verso(ipsum). I would be happy  with a D4d work book as long as its the same unit which im assuming that all the 2.0 D4D's are the same through out the range of toyotas.

Mines a 2003 so if any one can help me out here i would be 4 ever grateful, ive just binned my VW Sharan ownership for jap durability.

Anything is better than nothing even if its for a different car the powerplant stuff should be the same.

I live in anticipation

In the meantime if i find one ill post results as im sure there are many more out there on the same quest!

Hi Toyo

That's too broad for me to help you. The wiring diagram book runs to 250 pages. Are you looking for information for a specific problem? Service data can be anything from capacities to torque wrench specs. Can you be a bit more specific?

Hi Ray 99

Basicly I am looking for everthing I can get for the previa. Did you get your books from tech toyota or have you found another sorce ?

Hi Toyo

I walk into our book store and select the relevant manual form the shelf. I should mention that I am a Toyota technician, which brings a few priviledges, acces to data being one of them. Somebody might notice if the stock of manuals starts to reduce as I sell them, but I can go and get specific details as you require them. Chassis number or model number and year of manufacture is required for any precise data. Cheers Ray

Hi Ray

Its been a long time since ive been on the forum but im pretty happy to have a reply from yourself!

Im basically looking for things that can help me locate the various engine sensors, mostly on the fuel system components like the haynes manuals used to show you.

My engine number is 1CDO282218 AND VIN JTEGG22B5050 14866

Greatly appreciated if you can help :D

Toyota no longer produce actual workshop manuals. Instead they have converted across to an all electronic system that only official Toyota agents (or as stated above a paid up subscription although I have not tried this myself) have access to. A typical and blatant way for them to try and ensure that every service goes through their workshops. Of course they will try and lead you to believe that this is in the best interests of the public but I think we all know whose best interests it is serving.

However like with most things in this world where there is a market there will be someone to meet that demand and I am happy to say that if you search eBay you will find these under the name of

"Toyota Complex Manuals"

I bought a set and they were fantastic value as they cover the new shape Previa in total and both the petrol and diesel engines. Additionally they cover a lot of other Toyota vehicles as well.
