Recommended Posts

Hi

FREE to good home if you can collect.

Gen 5 bonnet from a 90 import, finished in glossy black.

Taken off my car to make way for a GT 4 bonnet.

Just minus the front plastic trim and washer jets, complete with soundproofing.

I am in Stockton on Tees in the North East.

thanks

hi Ash,

I'll get the manual home and let you know when to pick it up.

Wish I knew a bit more about my particular Celica as there are one ot two things that puzzle me, The big front wings and the 7 inch wheels with plenty room still under the arches etc.

Was nice to meet you too, members seem to be thin on the ground around here.

cheers

hi Dak,

thanks for the info, I hope it is a little different , it certainly looks differrent, as it makes it all the more worthwhile getting it back on the road.

I have traced this if it interests anybody, and isn't common knowledge.

E = years pollution code

-

S = S series engine 3sge

T = platform Celica 86 on

182 = 3sfe or 3sge engine

(L or R) optional left or right drive

-

B = Celica

L = liftback

M = 5 speed Manual

V = trim level Luxury sports

F = twin cam(high performance)

if final code is missing G etc then probably Japanese car, which explains why it is not present on mine.

The reason I asked you for the vin number was because I knew our Dak would come through and tell you what you had.............I have no idea when it comes to numbers and such on the Celica's.

John's Celi looks big and mean hence the wide body so the GT4 bonnet looks just right.

Needs to be chucking a Turbo lump in there next. That`d be awesome. a 2WD tubbied Celica. Guess it`d be a GT2. :D
