Rust!

Can you post a pic?

It is probably either a result of a manufacturing defect or a stone chip or something (unlikely though as the car is zinc plated).

I would hope it would be fixed under warranty as the car has a 3 year paintwork/surface rust warranty.

my camera currently has no batteries lol, think it may b a stone chip but i wasnt impressed when i saw it lol il try get a pic for u! ;)

I think it is 3 years paintwork and 12 years perforation warranty. Anything caused by a stone chip etc. will not be covered as it is only manufacturing defects that are covered.

If it chips the paint and doesn't go through the primer and very thin zinc coating on the steel then it won't rust, if it goes right through to the bare metal it will.

Manufacturers cannot guarantee it won't rust as a result of damage I'm afraid.

My 3.5-year old Corolla has a few stone chips but no rust. Would have to be a pretty severe impact to get down to the bare metal, I think.

hmmmmm dont spose i wud have even known! lol maybe i accidently knocked it quite hard with the hoover lol
