Hey peeps long time no type.

Have a problemo on my exhaust, mechanic says its a leak in the flexipipe section of the exhaust?

Can you replace this or do you have to exchange the full front exhuast section? i believe all this is before the CAT?

Also if ive been asked if its a single or twin front pipe?

Little confused can anybody help me please??

Also am i right in thinking that cos my 2 is a 1990 i can have a decat fitted, and its exsempt from emissions testing on the MOT?

Flexipipe is prone to going. It is a separate section, and I'm sure you can get it from Toyota... albeit expensive.

Whether or not it is after or before the cat depends on the way your looking. When describing you normally describe the route the gases take from induction to exiting the car... so it's actually after the cat.

I believe you can indeed run your car without a cat. Mine's a 1994 Rev3 tubby and mine passes MOT without a cat...

I'd imagine the front pipe is a single. Not sure on their description...

Hope some of this helps.

;)
